I keep coming back to the Attalos Hotel once in a while when I come to Athens. With its tradition in offering comfortable accommodation and excellent service the management created a very good name behind this property in the hotel market.
Attalos Hotel is not only popular to budget travelers. There are those who like to stay in smaller family hotels too. I come here when I usually have work in the area. There is one more reason though, and this is the homely feeling.
My room this time was #503 spacious, impeccably clean and comfortable. Noise from outside is blocked the moment the double glass balcony door is closed. It might be unbelievable but it is true if you are on a higher level.
It seems I have one of the family rooms. Besides the double bed there is a single one too and the interior is cozy. The nicely ironed linens with the name of the hotel in red thread stand out. The bed is comfortable and I have it all to myself this time. The closet might not be that big but it fits enough. The downside is that walls are thin but if you are lucky to have neighbours who respect others, this won’t be a problem.
The room’s bathroom is small but functional, well lit, bright and extremely clean. It makes you think that nobody else used it before. Toiletries are ample too. The walk-in corner shower-basin is wide to fit all sizes.
The breakfast buffet of the Attalos hotel has been upgraded lately. There are better options and better quality. The lounge on the first floor has a flat TV and is nicely decorated with computers and a printer for the use of guests. Complimentary tea/coffee is offered from 11:00am to 16:00.
The roof terrace is an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy a memorable evening. I enjoyed a nice cocktail one of the three nights I was here. If you choose to stay at the Attalos Hotel, you can have a drink or a snack with the company of friends or even on your own. The Acropolis with lights on is simply stunning, and be sure to have along your camera.
Repeaters know well the benefits of staying at the Attalos Bed & Breakfast Hotel in Athens. It has the whole package of what guests expect out of a nice more economic hotel. Value for money, excellent central city location, friendly staff and great view of the Acropolis.
