Luxury Hospitality in the Athenian Riviera!
Divani Apollon Palace Vouliagmeni, combines a luxurious Thalassotherapy center with a stunning beachfront location in Vouliagmeni. The Divani Collection Hotels rank amongst the most luxury established hotel groups in Greece. Member of the Leading Hotels of the World, the Divani Apollon Palace Vouliagmeni offers luxurious rooms with furnished sea-facing balconies.
To get the key to the room there was a 30 minute delay as the previous occupants had arranged to check out later.
Lobby
Nothing more to do than accept the complimentary cup of coffee and I am out to take some shots of the premises. From that point on check in was fast and we were escorted to the room.
Room
The twin bed was comfortable and added to the warm décor. The concept of the room was pretty smart and there was plenty of storage space. Tea & Coffee making facilities are by the way, provided. The attention to detail was superb.
The suite we had at the Divani Apollon Palace, Vouliagmeni had a classic interior with designed fabrics which matched well with the stylish oak pieces of furniture and paintings. Personally I was expecting the interior to be modern and more artistic!

Two tiny chocolates placed on our pillows was the other treat with the turn down service. Wi-Fi connects well in the lobby, pools and common grounds, but I was informed that very soon internet connection will be complimentary throughout the premises.
The Superior room #518 was spacious with a breathtaking view, while the double glazed windows opened to a corner-like balcony with panoramic view to the azure blue of the Saronic Gulf.
Highly appreciated was the complimentary treat –a nicely presented platter of fresh and dry fruit accompanied by a bottle of water.

The Athenian Riviera beaches, both organized and non-organized, are considered the cleanest of all in Attica. The choice is up to the individual….from the rocks of Limanakia Vouliagmenis and popular Anavyssos beach to the small coves near Sounio.
The staff were extremely friendly and consistently attentive. The overall levels of service were beyond excellent and premises were beautiful. I could easily imagine what it would be like if we came here in summer and the peak season. December now, and very quiet with few guests. For those like me, who love peace and quiet it is the perfect timing, and the resort is an excellent choice for a relaxing getaway.
Bathroom
The bathroom was spacious enough with a soaking bathtub and a shower, with fresh clean towels, scales and amazing toiletries.
There was a Shaving kit & a tooth brush as well. This Deluxe Greek brand adds the extra touch of luxury and pampering to guests. Toiletries, the very popular Olivia brand (60ml) Hair conditioner, Shampoo, Shower gel, Body lotion, as well as Facial and Body bars of Soap with extracts of glycerine, olive oil, olive seeds and vitamin E.
Breakfast
Breakfast is taken at the Anemos Restaurant and there was ample of choice, enough to spoil guests. The interior was nicely decorated to remind the festive season.

Nothing was missing from the buffet, and the desserts indeed stood out in taste and presentation. There was this Christmas feeling in the air which was simply wonderful. Everything was tasty, with the Apple-pie being my favourite.
Beach
During the peak season the resort is the ideal haven of leisure but it is the beginning of December and the hotel is extremely quiet with very few guests. The picture is disappointing at the small sandy beach across and at the two outdoor swimming pools which bustle with life during summer, there are some models working for a magazine promotion.
A major selling point of this property would have to be the indoor sea-water pool. It seemed it was not the right timing perhaps for us to come here and the stay was so short that we could not enjoy any of the facilities of the Spa. It was so chilly that the water at the beach and the beautiful swimming pools were cold. The Fitness centre provides a sauna and steam bath. Guests who enjoy walking will love the jogging route that is outside the hotel.

The Fitness center is way too beautiful and I did have a short tour with the manager. The indoor pool is not free at all. There is a daily extra fee of €45.00 per person for each guest. I admit I was surprised to hear about the extra cost for the use of the indoor pool, the Jacuzzi and steam room as most Spa hotels offer at least the Jacuzzi and Steam room complimentary.
The Pools
Out by the two outdoor swimming pools in the garden there were a couple of models posing with bathing suits on for a magazine promotion. Verdict
I have yet to stay at all of the hotels of the Divani Collection, but the Divani Apollon Palace, Vouliagmeni is definitely one of my top choices. I would not think twice about recommending the Divani Apollon Palace Vouliagmeni (as it is also known) to my closest friends and family so you must check it out! In all, for this one stay it was a romantic getaway for us, and the overall level of service was beyond excellent.
