I am with a close friend and this time we are dining in the moonlight under a cloudless sky with soft music in the background.

We start off with the amuse bouche from the Chef -a treat from the kitchen’ which was delicious and a fancy way to start the experience off.

The champagne aperitif was served in style and was a great start. The wine list was extensive with both reasonable prices and other bottles more expensive. My friend’s choice was the Moet & Chardon rose, while I opted for the Gosset white.

The team was equally as friendly and chatty at the same time as remaining professional. Waiters completely unobtrusive, but always there when needed.


The Painted Seasons Salad and Yellow Fin Tuna Tartar, both refreshing and tasty was a great way to start our journey to tastes.

Chairs are arranged in a solid distance from each other, so there is no feeling of an “elbow neighbour” something I came across in several restaurants in Limassol this time. We had a bigger table as well and everything looked nice and spotlessly clean.


If you love Pasta, go for the Lobster Ravioli –it was brilliant and I enjoyed every bite.

Main Course

The Rib-eye medium-well was my choice and it was served with the wild mushroom and black peppercorn sauces. Perfectly cooked sinfully tender! It was the definition of melt-in-the-mouth!

My friend had Pork –the Corn-fed Iberico (pata negra) (250gr) A super quality cut and the meat was cooked to perfection. I loved its incomparable tenderness, taste and texture from the bite or two I had. It came with grilled seasonal vegetables and mashed with truffle baked potatoes. Throughout the meal, the complimentary water and wine were kept topped up by the professional staff but they also never became overbearing.


To finish off the evening we had two excellent choices. Dessert lovers are going crazy over melting chocolate ball dish. Something similar was my friend’s choice, the Chocolate Sphere. With almost every bite she could not help making sounds of satisfaction…Wow! Mmm!

For myself, I wanted something as light as possible, but I excluded fruit this time. I opted for the dessert lightest option, the divine Oven-grilled Pineapple -banoffee gelato salted caramel.


Dining at the Grill Room Restaurant Limassol of the Amathus Beach Hotel was another wonderful experience.
