The Hilton Malta St. Julian’s is conveniently located in the Portomaso Yacht Marina set on the seafront in Saint Julian’s. You can’t get a much better area than this.  The 5* hotel offers panoramic views, elegant and classy interiors with chandeliers, marble, open spaces and columns that create a perfect atmosphere for its guests.

Hilton Malta

The white-walled lobby and lounge of the Hilton Malta are astonishingly inviting. The Hilton Malta St. Julian’s is vast and is considered to be the best of Malta’s large modern chain hotels. With excellent facilities inside and out, the Hilton caters equally well for the business and leisure travelers.

Lounge and Restaurant

I arrived at the Hilton Malta just in time for dinner, although my friend from Cyprus arrived several hours ahead. I was made welcomed with a glass of sparkling champagne and I was escorted to the room. Check-in was swift and the staff very kind throughout.

Room

The sea-view suite #1033 was pleasantly bright, spacious and nicely furnished with the required comfort to meet needs of demanding guests. The two double King size beds with duvet covering, bright spotless linens and pillows preserved a state of constant serenity.

The suite at the Hilton Malta St. Julian’s had a spacious balcony and the highlight was the glamorous view and all that positive energy coming in from the soothing sound of the ocean below.

We would leave the balcony door wide open. Even on a cloudy and windy day the temperature was still pleasant. We would hear the sounds of rough waves crashing against the rocks below and felt as if they wash all worries away. The view and sound was a feast to the eyes, ears and soul. You should come here to feel it yourselves. How I loved this sound of the ocean and watching the sun rising up in the sky from the sea each morning!

Upon entering the suite there was a nice presentation of dainty morsel along with a welcoming note from the management, but we had different similar surprises throughout our stay as well as several bottles of water. The Housekeeping team excellent –thanks to Dorothy, Annette and Megie

Bathroom

Hilton Malta

The modern bathroom was spacious, bright and well lit. What I really liked was the design and colour of the tiles. For some extra pampering, the complete set of nourishing collection of Peter Thomas Roth brand toiletries were highly appreciated.

Executive Lounge

Business travelers who stay in Executive Rooms of the Hilton Malta St. Julian’s and prefer a more professional environment are entitled to access the facilities of the Executive Lounge.

Breakfast

A favorite of mine part of the day is always breakfast and we had it on the ground floor in their Oceana restaurant. It was an extensive breakfast buffet and upon request there was an à la carte menu as well. I am after a balanced diet so a nutrient full of vegies omelet was mostly what I would love to have. My friend enjoyed all the rest of the delicacies of her choice.

Hilton Malta

The breakfast buffet at the Hilton Malta was a royal-like banquet each morning with plenty of choice, top notch service and exquisite tastes.

Restaurants

The tranquil ambiance of the Oceana and the exciting décor embraces guests in a convivial and lively setting. The Grand Buffet on Saturday nights features a selection of market fresh seasonal seafood including oysters, prawns, squid and many more with a variety of the kitchen’s signature salads, selection of delicious hot dishes and desserts from the pastry Chef.

The Blue Elephant

Widely recognized as a top fine dining spot, the Blue Elephant Restaurant has received multiple awards since opening its doors at the Hilton Malta St. Julian’s. I was here in the capacity of a food critic.

The Myoka 5 Senses Spa

The Myoka 5 Senses Spa is a gem! It is designed in a contemporary Balinese style and is an oasis of tranquility and wellbeing with a plethora of treatments.

Outdoor Pools

Hilton Malta St. Julian’s has 4 outdoor and 2 paddling pools for children. Being here in February I missed, of course, the summer facilities, the many outdoor pools and activities taking place on the grounds but at least I enjoyed daily the indoor pool, the sauna and steam room. The deep azure and sound of the waters in February is a picture I will always cherish.

Verdict

The Hilton Malta St. Julian’s is unique for travellers who seek a tranquil hideaway for their business trips and not only. I like to feel at home when I am away and I felt that this Hilton like the rest I visited, is as personal as it gets. The people here know well how to treat their guests and make them feel important and valued. Personally we felt spoiled with all the care and attention we got. I highly recommend the Hilton Malta St. Julian’s. Book without second thought!
