Nice Peaceful Place!
KC Resort & Over Water Villas in Koh Samui is a lovely property only a 6-minute walk from the white sands of Chaweng Beach and a 10-minute drive from the city center. It enjoys an excellent view of neighboring islands and has a private Spa. Guests of the KC Resort & Over Water Villa are welcome to use the facilities at KC Beach Club. This includes a beachside swimming pool. Guests who wish to skip the hike can take the free scheduled shuttle to KC’s sister property on the beach. Samui International Airport is a 15-minute drive away.
When my clients arrived, by mistake they headed to the Beach hotel which is not as glamorous as the KC Resort & Over Water Villa. Disappointed with the first glance, they approach the reception to find out that their booking is not registered. The problem is solved after checking with the sister hotel and with relief, they were driven up by golf buggies.
The atmosphere throughout was homely, comfortable with a touch of luxury. Wi-Fi was complimentary as well.

Check-in was quick after that. In the meantime, my clients were welcomed with cold towels and juice and had their luggage taken up to the rooms. The service throughout the 6 nights’ stay was great.

Despite being high up, they never failed in catering the transportation for the guest.

Towel folding is very popular in Asia, and it was fun finding a different design each day.
Chilling out on a comfortable bed at an island as beautiful as Koh Samui is sometimes the best part of your vacation especially if the bed is comfortable. This was the case here!
The specific rooms booked with a garden view might not have had the most amazing views but they were very spacious and impeccably clean.

The pool was lovely but the general, wear and tear of the sunbeds starting to show and they were not that comfortable.

The bathroom interior was spacious and elegant but was overlooking the back side of the property.
There was a Jacuzzi and a separate walk-in cabin with rainforest shower-head with plenty of toiletries for that extra pampering.

Breakfast was pretty good but if you go after 9:00 am it is not as great then. Most of the hot food is cold.
The food and drinks in general at the hotel are way overpriced. The cocktail prices at the Bar are outrageous. My clients made sure to keep their money for a drink down in Chaweng.
I can say that the buggy service was not bad, but up to a point only. The hotel runs a shuttle bus service to their sister hotel which is a 10-minute ride as far as the shopping center and runs 5 or 6 times a day only, but still worth it.
Terrace with gorgeous view
Not only were the views in the daytime gorgeous but were incredibly stunning in the evening with the lights on as well. The downside is that the best timing to be at Chaweng is much later in the evening when the hotel free shuttle stops. Most guests are compelled to return by taxi or walk all the way back –and it is not fun at all.
The Chaweng coast by night looks like sparkling little stars in the distance. Awesome both during sunrise and sunset!

Verdict
Overall, KC Resort & Over Water Villas is a good choice of a stay. I would recommend it for a more relaxed break. Perhaps the management put in a little more effort to uphold the value for money. The staff throughout were very friendly and always happy to help and chat. If I were to return to Koh Samui, I would gladly stay here.
