Le Meridien St Julian’s offers the charm of a boutique hotel and is located on Malta’s Bulluta Bay Beach very close to the shops of Sliema and Paceville and 20 minute-drive from Valletta. Our three nights’ stay here were exceptional. As it is usually the case, excellent employees make the difference, and the folks here at the Le Meridien St Julian’s were genuinely friendly and helpful from our day of arrival to the day of departure.

The door staff of the Le Meridien St. Julian’s were on hand at arrival and  we were escorted to the check-in desk. We came here by taxi, our bags were taken care of and it couldn’t have been more seamless. Mario the concierge was a bunch of help and was there for us any time we needed his help and advice.

The warm welcome was accompanied with wet hand towels for me and my friend, and a refreshing drink. At check-in, we were announced that we have been upgraded so we waited for a few minutes enjoying our drinks in the lounge until the suite was ready.

Finally our upgraded room was on the 10th floor and it was the suite #1039. The interior was spacious, impeccably clean and functional with comfortable beds but the highlight of the suite was its breathtaking view.

The interior was aesthetically pleasing with sitting space, a handy worktable, a wardrobe, a safe and hairdryer, iron and iron board, as well as coffee/tea facilities and a mini bar. Bottles of water were replaced daily.

The day of our arrival the complimentary treat was a big bottle of local wine, a lovely presentation of dainty morsel, and a welcoming card from the Le Meridien St. Julian’s management.

Similar treats were offered daily with an extra treat of a terrific cocktail the night after we returned from the Taro, the signature restaurant of the Le Meridien St. Julian’s. It was a lovely surprise and a most welcoming gesture!

With such fabulous view we could not help but look out over the balcony most of the time taking photos, sitting at the balcony enjoying our cup of coffee watching the waves, the traffic and people go by. I am sure the stay would have been totally different if the room lacked this amenity.

Most probably the room we had was an executive one, but if it was, the reception missed telling us that we could have access to the Exclusive Lounge and terrace. Now as I am writing this, I realize that we missed both. Perhaps it is a good reason to return! 🙂 In any case, be sure to pay for a Sea-View room and the Executive benefits –absolutely worth it.

With a separate WC room, the en-suite bathroom was very spacious featuring a walk-in with rain shower cubicle and a big corner soaking bathtub to choose from. The shelf on the wall proved handy, towels were fragrant and toiletries ample. The fresh flower we had in the bathroom counted a lot too. Top line pampering at every aspect…and of course if pampering is what you are after, don’t miss visiting the amazing Myoka Lotus Spa.

Indoor Pool & Spa

With the Spa and the indoor pool the Le Meridien St Julian’s, provides amenities to make the stay even more relaxed for its guests.

The downside was that the Jacuzzi is just for two persons, and on all four days we were here, it was always occupied. The Myoka Lotus Spa offers top line pampering with amazing therapies and great service.

At the Scirocco restaurant of the Le Meridien St. Julian’s we enjoyed efficient customer service. The staff were always nearby if you should need anything, and they would refill our cups if needed. The live-cooking omelet point at times becomes stressful but the guys behind seem to manage and have it under control. There was plenty of choice enough to fill you up for hours. The signature, Taro Restaurant of the Le Meridien St Julian’s is geared to whet anybody’s apetite with fresh fish, aged meats and a varied selection of dishes for vegetarians, in a relaxing and romantic ambience.

The Le Meridien St Julian’s is deal for a tranquil hideaway with its Spa exceptional services, but it is also ideal for business trips, corporate tours, events, even conference meetings. If you are looking for a hotel where you can simply unwind and take it easy, this hotel is highly recommended.
