The National Museum of History Sofia Bulgaria is in the foothills of Mount Vitosha in Block 1 of the presidential residence since 2003, and very close to the Boyana Church.
The National History Museum is among the wealthiest and most famous museums in the Balkans. Its unique collection includes hundreds of thousands of monuments from Bulgaria’s cultural and historical heritage, from pre-history to the present day.

They keep artefacts in 5 spacious halls and several smaller temporary exhibitions. Outstanding items include the gold treasure of Panagyurishte from the fourth century BC, connected to Thracian Kind Seutus.
