Olympic Lagoon Resort Paphos – Cyprus is set in tropical landscaped gardens with water features and palm trees surrounding its 5 outdoor pools. It enjoys a most privileged location on Paphos’ beautiful Blue Flag beach. It has the ‘WOW’ factor and takes the All Inclusive Plus concept to another level.

Lobby

For my short stay in Paphos, I chose once again the Olympic Lagoon Resort. I was here a year back so more or less I knew what to expect. Greeted with smiles and friendly faces with a welcome drink and refreshing hand towel to get the ball rolling. Check in was a matter of minutes and I was escorted to the suite.

Room

Fresh flowers always make a difference. In fact, they make my day, not to mention the daily complimentary treats! The Kanika Hotels know exactly how to make repeated guests happy.

I had the Double Pool-view Suite #3226 which was pleasantly spacious, spotless and nicely furnished with facilities and amenities for demanding guests. Functional and trendy in contemporary lines offers the absolute delight of a stay.

With nothing missing, an awesome view and a comfortable double bed, my double-pool view suite overlooked the beautiful garden and the beach.

Sparkling wine and dainty morsel. All nicely presented on a 3 tier stand server. Lovely indeed and highly appreciated.

Bathroom

The ultimate comfort! The bathroom was well lit which is a significant factor for me. Crispy towels, robes, and slippers were provided as well as plenty of toiletries

For the cold winter days, there is the indoor pool of the Health Club & Spa. I had two exceptional treatments here.

Pools & Garden

At a beautiful setting of tropical gardens among pools and lagoons, playgrounds and restaurants, the air of the most promising holidays is hanging over the Olympic Lagoon.

Pools seem more popular here at the Olympic Lagoon Resort in Paphos than the beach. You will find pools for all ages and likes. The adults’ pool has its own section for extra peace and tranquility.

Olympic Lagoon Resort Paphos offers upgraded facilities and services and provides an immense variety of family-focused and adult-oriented amenities. In other words, the ideal haven of leisure where guests can enjoy their favorite aspect –the fun facilities for all ages, or the quiet adult area.

The key word is variety, and there is much to do here depending on your likes. From different room types to multiple pools and cuisine –the choice is up to the budget limit, of the individual party.

Just for the record, ‘Kanika Weddings’ has become synonymous with romantic celebrations in all Kanika hotels across Cyprus. The people behind are professionals, just let them know. I remember how I was bothered last year by the noise and disturbance from weddings but thankfully it was much better this year.

Breakfast

With 6 restaurants and 5 Bars, you are spoilt for choice! Buffets are extended and include vegetarian options as well. Not only has the cuisine been upgraded this year, but the interior looks more inviting. Buffets include a variety of quality dishes depending on the theme, so it is up to you to choose your favourite…

Restaurants

Skip if possible lunch if you plan to come to the Cypriot tavern. I suggest, take your time to enjoy it. You will be served the authentic Cypriot meze like nowhere else!

Dinner at the JAPANESE ‘Seven Orchids’ –the Pan Asian restaurant was another surprise this year. I enjoyed a delectable journey to Asian flavours. In the capacity of a Food Critic, I nibbled a lot. Each dish was exceptional with its own taste and unique flavour. Judging from what I had, it would easily compete for signature Japanese restaurants in Paphos. The service was top notch and tastes were exquisite.

Night Entertainment

A great show was on each evening …none wants to miss it

The Xperience Arena was still my favourite this year and presented spectacular shows that I enjoyed. The You & Me is another popular venue to enjoy classic cocktails to accompany adult-oriented professional entertainment.

Verdict

The stay at the Olympic Lagoon Resort Paphos proved an excellent choice! No wonder why it ranks high on the luxury scale of the ‘all inclusive’ hotels. Make it your first choice in Paphos without a second thought. The two nights I was here, the place was bursting with energy and excitement so if this is the type of holidays you are dreaming of, this is exactly the place to be
