We recently spent a three-night stay at St George Lycabettus Hotel, and honestly, the breathtaking views would be reason alone to choose this hotel, not to mention several others. The reception area is discreet and welcoming the minute you enter the building, and we are greeted by friendly and upbeat staff upon our arrival.  Checking-in was a matter of 5 minutes before getting the key-card of the room and head to the fifth floor, excited to see what our room had to offer.

The hotel rooms and suites take on different design themes and style. Ours was one of the newly renovated, spacious and airy, designed to stimulate a relaxing and soothing atmosphere. We felt so happy and comfortable in this room, loved the colour combination and the light yellow decorative touches. The cherry on top though was the gorgeous view!

Sleep Comfort

St George Lycabettus Hotel

When staying at a hotel, it is important to sleep well, and the king-size bed we had was super comfy. Furthermore, when it comes to organic bedding, the comfortable king-sized Coco-Mat bed was beyond satisfying.

The room was well furnished with nothing missing from a working desk, to coffee/tea facilities, a fully stocked mini bar, LCD TV, a safe, complimentary wireless internet, and in general, nothing to fault, while turndown service was flawless.

Room Service

Room service was efficient and responded fast to any request. Twice we enjoyed the afternoon room service with homemade pastries and cakes to accompany our pre-evening cup of coffee much before dinner.

Complimentary Treat

St George Lycabettus Hotel

Upon entering our room we noticed a nicely packed platter of seasonal fruit waiting for us by the trendy glass desk together with a bottle of mineral water. Thank you St George Lycabettus Hotel! Mineral water and juice are provided complimentary from the ground floor lobby for every guest as well.

The Morning Visitor

St George Lycabettus Hotel

Early each morning we had the most welcoming visitor out by the balcony. A collared dove whom I loved feeding with crumbs.

Bathroom

St George Lycabettus Hotel

I would be happier with slightly more light in the bathroom. Average in size, with a bathtub that featured a stand-up Massage shower. The towels in the bathroom were fresh and bright and changed daily. There were a magnifying mirror and scales, while toiletries, the ‘Olive Care’ a Greek brand.

Facilities and Services Offered

St George Lycabettus Hotel

Although I left the premises for a stroll in Kolonaki for a couple of hours the first morning, I felt I had everything I needed and more, to have a fabulous stay indoors. There is a Gym, Yoga and Pilate’s studio beside their Spa where I could keep myself busy and happy. Finally, I decided not to leave the grounds of the hotel at all after that first outing. Instead, the next two days I indulged in their Aegeo Spa for hours!

  • Besides the Aegeo Spa, St George Lycabettus Hotel has its own Screening Room (mini cinema) and if not rented out for events, plays films for guests.
  • La Suite Lounge offers a rich Sunday Family Brunch from12:00 – 16:00. The ‘Kids Corner’ presents activities and happily amazes kids with gifts and surprises. The Kids’ Movie Time takes place at the Screening Room of the St. George Lycabettus Hotel from 16:00 – 18:00 with popcorn served as a treat! Book your table online now.
  • The rooftop pool is thoroughly a lovely point to relax, with astonishing views, unobtrusive music and good poolside service, although, on this last visit because it’s only open during the summer months we found it closed.
  • St George Lycabettus Hotel grants a business centre and can hold a range of in-house banqueting, outside catering and conference options for events both intimate and grand.
  • There are rooms and suites on different budgets. Interior courtyard rooms are much cheaper, unique for younger guests intending to spend more time outdoors.

Of course, after sunset, all this turns into magic!

The buffet is varied, enough to satisfy extremely demanding guests. I was lucky that all three mornings I was here, the weather was exceptional, allowing guests to sit outdoors too.
