The Steak House Limassol is an excellent choice for a meal to remember. The Restaurant overlooks the Akrotiri Bay and stands a few meters above the azure Mediterranean waters, in Limassol’s marina. It is open daily from 12:00 pm – 11:30 pm.

We walked as far as the pier and chose to take the steps up the restaurant than using the lift. The host greeted us by the entrance and escorted us to our reserved table.

The Steak House Limassol sits above the water and enjoys breathtaking views while the cosy and pleasant interior adds a nice vibe to the atmosphere.

The restaurant’s interior is beautifully planned with spacious outdoor verandas and inside a modern and stylish dining area. The big display board on one of its walls indicates all the different cuts of beef used for steak.

The Steak House Limassol was almost full when we arrived. I noticed that the tables were close to each other and a group of 10 by the neighbouring table were talking loudly and smoking one cigarette after the other. We moved one table further but still, it was noisy and the smoke disturbing. Contrary though to this, we enjoyed top-notch service and dishes of exceptional quality and taste as you will notice below.

Appetizers

There is a nice selection of starters, to begin with, which you can enjoy while admiring the awesome view and soaking up the restaurant’s cosy and modern atmosphere. There is nothing, that says ‘welcome to our restaurant’ like a fresh-baked bread! Who doesn’t like this distinctive smell? Oh my God! The bread here smelled so good!

The waiter shows up with a round block of warm homemade bread and butter at first and we started off with the Beetroot Tartar. An excellent starter for a culinary course to taste. Our second choice, the Beef Carpaccio with thin layers of fresh American fillet steak was exceptional too. Flavoursome and yummy!

Just for the record, the Steak House Limassol offers seafood as well. Indicative I mention the Fresh Salmon, Ocean Prawns, and three options of Lobster –pasta, steamed or au gratin. Besides the US and New Zealand Black Angus Steaks, there is the Japanese choice of Steak too.

Beef Cuts

We could choose from a big selection of cuts which were nicely presented to us right at our table by the chef who explains the basics. The Certified Angus Beef is to be the best Angus brand available. It is a cut above USDA Prime, Choice and Select.

SALAD

The Strawberry Salad in the Crystal bowl stood out in presentation and taste! Rocket leaves topped with soft cheese, cranberries and fresh strawberries with roasted walnuts over honey balsamic dressing. Refreshing and superb taste!

We accompanied our meal with a Shiraz from a well-known Cypriot winery from Kyperounda. A range of local and international labels are wines to be found here.

Grilled Steaks

We decided to share our two choices; accompanied with potato au gratin and creamy spinach, the American Picanha Steak was tender and flavoursome. I had mine plain with no side sauce, only to enjoy the real steak’s superb taste. Every bite was exquisite and exceptionally flavourful. The American Fillet Steak was just as exquisite as the Picanha. Incredibly tender with no fat, was cooked to perfection. The fillet exceeded in flavour and paired well with the pumpkin chips and steamed vegetables.

If by the end of your meal you have space for something sweet, there are tempting desserts to choose from. I tried all four choices and enjoyed every spoonful, without necessarily liking sweets in general that much.

The Fruit Charlotte nicely presented, -pistachio nougatine with pastry cream and fresh strawberries filling was a delight! Not wanting to spoil the taste of the Charlotte I left the whole portion of the Milk Chocolate to my friend who admitted that it was great. (Milk chocolate with salty caramel mousse on a ‘black forest’ chocolate biscuit) I judged all that chocolate would be too much for me anyway.

I had a bite or two from the Australian Pavlova. (Dry meringues with cream, berries and forest fruit sauce). The crisp meringue shell and the flavouring filling made the cake irresistible. Out of all four though, my favourite was the Apple Crumble for its exceptional taste and superb flavour.

Verdict

I was here in the capacity of the Food Critic to comment on the quality and tastes. From the topnotch service to quality and exquisite tastes, the fabulous view, everything was outstanding. It is by far the best Steak House in Limassol. Make sure you pre-book!
