Asimina Suites Paphos nestles in an enviable and tranquil beachside location at the far end of the Poseidonos Avenue. The hotel is a 10-minute drive to Paphos harbour and is closed to the city centre and shopping area.

Style and Character

Asimina Suites Paphos

The marbled-floor lobby, predominately business-chic leads to a flooded in the light atrium, and seating is neatly used to add symmetry and softness. An oasis of tranquillity, this luxurious all-suite hotel is all about style and personal service.

 Checking-in

Asimina Suites Paphos

A friend’s car drops me off in front of the main entrance where the bell boy helps with the luggage. I am soon standing by the reception desk, made welcome by a personal counsellor who escorts me to the VIP lounge to check-in for more privacy. I am offered a welcoming treat which I highly appreciate, we chat for a while, exchange ideas and thoughts and my counsellor explains the little bits and tips that would make my stay more pleasant.

A lovely personal touch to the usual check-in process!  Up in the room, she hands me a cell phone and urges me to connect with her directly for anything I might need (room service, booking a table, housekeeping etc.) The phone only, could not make it more personal!

Suite 123

Asimina Suites Paphos

My One-bedroom suite offered an uninterrupted garden view and was one of the twelve executive ones with amenities tailored to the needs of today’s travellers. It features a large, private terrace with comfortable sun loungers and an enticing plunge pool which was lit with a candle lantern each night.

Asimina Suites Paphos

The service, on the whole, exceptional and attention to detail are second to none from the minute you step foot in the hotel. The professional team of the Asimina Suites is friendly, chatty, discreet but also very helpful and felt spoiled here as I should be on any luxury vacation!

A private pool is such a luxurious treat! Guests of such suites have the benefit of a complimentary beach or garden cabaña as well. I chose a garden one this time.

Asimina Suites Paphos

I highly recommend a sea view room if you decide to stay here as the sunsets are incredible and can be viewed from the comfort of your suite/balcony after a long day lazing by the pool.

Asimina Suites Paphos

Flooded with light, my stylish suite was well-appointed with neutral colours and light-wood furnishings with splashes of ocean blue.  The small foyer by the entrance includes a mini bar and a cupboard with a full tea and coffee making section. I highly appreciated the espresso machine as I love having the first cup of espresso very early from the suite much before breakfast.

A sliding door discreetly separates the bedroom from the seating area which connects to the deck and the private pool of the suite where I would sit and watch the sunset at the end of the day…what a bliss! The seating area with floor to ceiling windows housed another satellite TV with DVD player, working desk, and light-wood furnishings. Plenty of hanging and drawer space along with case storage area, Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel at no extra cost, as well as complimentary water. Housekeeping is on the ball with turn down!

Do you agree the most important thing is a good night’s sleep?  The most crucial thing for me for sure!  This huge king-size bed was super comfy and I slept so well.

Complimentary Treat

Asimina Suites Paphos

Upon entering the suite I noticed a bottle of wine and some dainty morsel on the table, but later on, I am sent up to the suite a bottle of champagne. The treat could not be better!

Bathroom

Asimina Suites Paphos

The ultra-luxurious en-suite marble bathroom features a Jacuzzi bathtub on one side, as well as a separate shower area. The best of both worlds! It had two vanity areas and for that extra pampering a full set of the Olivia toiletries. Relax with the in-room bathrobes and slippers.

Onsite Restaurants

Asimina Suites Paphos

Estia is an all-day restaurant. Out here, I have had some of the best breakfasts and dinner buffets in Paphos.

Asimina Suites Paphos

George, the Maître D’ whom I know for years is a true professional. He is always around to welcome first as possible the guests, approaches the tables with a smile to ensure that nothing is missing and tries to make us, the guests, feel at home. Breakfast buffet covers fresh and delicious pastries, meats, made-to-order eggs and a lot of other variety – everything tastes great!

Although there is the A La Carte Restaurant, I dined at Estia just once and the buffet variety was wide, the food well prepared and mouthwatering.

Kymata Restaurant

Kymata which is also open for lunch happens to be my favourite of all three and I dined here twice. Marios discreet as always and very professional welcomed me back and had arranged to have tables overlooking the coast.

Throughout the night with the same passion and love for music, Christo’s guitar travels guests with his ballads. I bet one of the reasons Kymata is such popular is for its romantic atmosphere. How could it be otherwise! Service here is second to none, evening vibe unmatched and tastes and presentation unparalleled.

Asimina Suites Paphos

Asimina Suites PaphosSeeing the familiar menu I knew exactly what to ask for. More careful than ever with what to order, I attempted to keep calories as low as possible on both evenings.

Asimina Suites Paphos

The two nights I was here I opted for Gratin of Scallop, Seafood Linguini, and Salmon Rolls with cream and Prawns. I paired the two meals with a local Champagne that Mario recommended, which I urge you to give it a try. I have to admit that the food in all restaurants is first class.

The Great Outdoors

Asimina Suites Paphos

The immaculate and tranquil sub-tropical garden with its palm trees and private pool and beach cabañas set the tone of luxury. With lots of outdoor seating and hammocks surrounding the pool and the beach, it’s never hard to find a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the sun.

In daytime energize with an exciting buzzing of conversation and bliss, while in the evening, the pools and private coast flood with light and sounds of waves lapping against the shore.

The swimming pools are to die for! There are three in all fresh-water swimming pools in the Asimina Suites, with Jacuzzi jets, two interconnected outdoors, and an indoor pool heated the winter months. Never once did I see them overcrowded and the sunbeds are well-spaced out, giving guests a sense of privacy and exclusivity.

My Private Garden Cabaña

Asimina Suites Paphos

Twice a day I would get to my private garden cabaña which I enjoyed a lot. I was impressed with the superb service, and the lovely touch of pampering when the temperature is high outdoors. The waiter bar service was great too. What a relief to have ice-cold face towels and frozen grapes pinched on toothpicks at intervals!

The Beach

Asimina Suites Paphos

It is true that parts of the Paphos coast are rugged and stony, but wind does not affect that much the coast of the Asimina Suites. Its curved private bay protects the shore from waves.Asimina Suites Paphos

A guest will never get tired out here. Thick squishy loungers, and quality beach umbrellas, a private jetty with steps into the sea, everything is considered for that extra comfort of their guests.

Leisure Facilities

Asimina Suites Paphos

Between the relaxing pools, the beach, and Spa there’s plenty to keep guests entertained throughout the day depending on their likes. Having all the fun outdoors, by the beach, the pool and the Jacuzzi of my suite, I  did not bother get to the Spa this time. The use of the steam bath and saunas (one for nudists) are free and residents have access to the indoor and outdoor Bowling Greens at neighbouring sister hotels. The emphasis, however, is more or less on quiet relaxation rather than organised activities, and once the sun sets, you’ll want to be out by the beach or from your suite’s terrace to catch a glimpse of its stunningly beautiful colours!

Live Entertainment

I remember, after dinner one evening on my way to the room I heard a favourite of mine classic. I stepped into the bar, the vibe was perfect, chose a nice seat, ordered a drink and enjoyed the night through until the performance was over. The other two nights with different programs on, I couldn’t resist peeking out the door to see what was going on, but there were hardly two or three couples out there, and I don’t blame them.

Asimina Suites Paphos

Not because the program was not good, but it sounds logical that couples might enjoy more the privacy of their suites. So off I went to the room, put my bathing suit on at 11:30 pm and stepped into my enticing plunge pool for the next 20 minutes. I couldn’t have made a better choice!

My Verdict

Asimina Suites Paphos should be high on your wish list if you are out for a romantic and tranquil setting for the perfect couples’ holiday. I could go on and on writing but I will end here by posting a huge THANK YOU that goes to each and every member of the staff. To conclude, if you are looking for a luxury getaway in Paphos, seek nowhere else!
