Perfect in Every Way!

Ktima Karageorgou Mani is surrounded by enchanting landscape and is built in the traditional style of Mani architecture. The hotel lies in the historic town of Areopolis and prides for the beautifully appointed rooms which are elegantly designed, creating an intimate and relaxing room atmosphere. Guests love to wander around the narrow streets of Areopolis, the beautiful square and enjoy an evening stroll in the beautiful unspoiled landscape close by.

Warm Hospitality

Ktima KarageorgouWe had heard that Ktima Karageorgou provides nice accommodation but never expected our stay to be that good. The stone-built structure is lovely.

Ktima Karageorgou Mani

Ktima KarageorgouWe have the warmest welcome and are treated like family. This is what I like about family hotels when owners are professionals. Thanasi and Noda are such examples of excellent hosts and nothing is much trouble for them. They offer us Turkish coffee and cold water upon our arrival before we take our things in the room.

A Blissful Location

Ktima KarageorgouLocated in Areopolis at a blissfully quiet area, Ktima Karageorgou is an 8 minute walk to the Old Town and close to the Central Bus station. While here we notice that more central hotels face problems with parking restrictions and there is always noise in the evening until very late.

Ktima KarageorgouRoom

Ktima KarageorgouThe interior is really beautiful, the suite spotless and elegantly decorated with attention to detail. The blue kitchenette are only decorative to create a nicer atmosphere. Coffee/ tea facilities are provided only upon request.

Ktima KarageorgouThe stylish beds are imported from Italy as well as the elegant copper bathroom-sets of taps and the mirrors. The walls are thick like old houses in the region and this is one of the reasons Wi-Fi in the rooms is a problem. For better connection, we used the patio and the pool areas.

The lace curtains and the dressing table add a lot to the atmosphere!

Ktima KarageorgouThe corner Jacuzzi stands on an upper level but there is an extra charge not included in the booking if you decide to use it.

Bathroom

Ktima KarageorgouThe bathroom is small with a very small walk-in shower cabinet. No plastic shower cap is provided and instead of the normal toiletry kit there are wall soap dispensers.

Breakfast

Ktima KarageorgouEnjoying every bite!

Ktima KarageorgouKtima KarageorgouHow not to like all these amazing home-made goodies!

Ktima Karageorgou Mani

Ktima KarageorgouWe loved the personal touch of service here, and enjoyed home-made goodies, pies and pastries, and local delicacies. We tried ‘travichti’ which is similar to pancakes, we had fresh orange juice daily. Honey was great just as olives which are ample in the area. Fresh eggs and cheese, and homemade marmalades were so yummy!  I don’t believe you would want more.

Dinning

Ktima KarageorgouI urge you to try the amazing oven-cooked ‘kleftiko’. The owner is a specialist! Slowly cooked in the wood oven, the meat becomes tenderly juicy and is extremely flavoursome.  If you wish to eat in the hotel or have this particular dish, be sure to let the owners know a day before.

Pool

Ktima KarageorgouThe outdoor pool of Ktima Karageorgou Mani and the bar area is the perfect spot for guests to enjoy a refreshing dip and a cocktail.

Ktima KarageorgouThe pool’s lovely setting

Ktima KarageorgouThis lovely area is well appointed with plenty of pool-loungers for guests to enjoy over the sounds of running water. The continuous flow coming from the decorative vessels by the pool refine the water and keep it clean.

The Herb Garden

Ktima KarageorgouVerdict

Ktima Karageorgou embraces everything that I enjoy about a hospitality experience. It is the little things like the quality of service, the food and the style of the hotel that don’t miss a beat. This would be one of my top choices when I am back to Areopoli.
