First Impressions Landmark Hotel Nicosia
The classic elegance and character of this historic hotel are well kept over the years. Firstly, you will be impressed with the marble floor designs, the paintings and its eclectic atmosphere.
The Paddock bar evokes a relaxing ambience, and you will be dazzled with the ostentatious lifts of the executive wing, as well as the outstanding boutiques on the ground floor promenade. The first and last impressions; high quality to the highest standards!
Check-in Landmark Hotel Nicosia
The ride from Limassol to Nicosia did not exceed the 50′ minutes. I was dropped outside the hotel, but I faced a problem with one of the wheels of my luggage. I was impressed with Andreas, the efficient porter who instantly offered to help when I mentioned that I might have to get to the city to buy a new one later on. He escorted me to the reception and afterwards, carried the bag up to the suite. As a repeater, check-in was smooth as always and a matter of a few minutes. Up in the suite, I had the luggage emptied, sent to the maintenance where Christos took care of it. Mind you, I had it back in no time, and ready for the next destination! When I faced a problem with my Smartphone charger, Christos was there to help again. Thank you guys you are both one of a king!
What is Accommodation Like
All 294 rooms at the Landmark Nicosia Hotel are spacious and tastefully decorated. The clever use of texture in the warm autumnal colours covering the wall to ceiling windows creates a great atmosphere. Whether you are interested in a standard room or a deluxe suite, the Landmark Nicosia Hotel will make your stay opulent and pleasant. All rooms contain a convenient workspace, high-speed internet, flat-screen TVs and super King-size beds –unless you request twins.
Executive suites are on the top floors of the hotel and provide a haven of hospitality. Spacious, as they are, embrace the comforts of home, giving timeless details and luxurious amenities.
The King Executive Suite (78m²)
As you walk into the suite, you will be amazed how spacious the living room is, complete with a full sofa, two sitting chairs, small table, a classic piece of furniture to fit the second TV with books and miniature pieces of art.
At the other end of the room, I was delighted with the welcome desserts and drinks waiting for me on a nicely set rotunda. A nice gesture, always welcomed.
Garden View Landmark Hotel Nicosia
A year back, I stayed at a similar one, one floor below, so the feeling was as if I returned home! The two balconies had a side view of the lovely garden overlooking the pool, with the other one the city.
The King Executive Bedroom – Landmark Hotel Nicosia
Furnished with the highest of standards, the bedroom with plush bedding a lovely writing desk, two armchairs, a second TV, in-room safe, and a fully stocked mini-bar was spacious and classy. The wall to ceiling windows covering the entire side overlooking the garden offered fabulous natural light and the massive wardrobe afforded ample of storage areas.
I appreciated the consistently comfy king size bed, which I had it all to myself. Most guests struggle to get proper sleep in hotel rooms, but here it was heavenly, pillows perfect, not to mention the thick curtains preventing morning light from coming in and assuring a good night’s sleep.
The Bathroom of the King Executive Suite
The spacious bathroom of the suite was well lit with a marble bathtub and plenty of hot water. On the basin countertop, you will find a selection of the Crabtree & Evelyn brand toiletries; the Verbena & Lavender fragrance. Slippers and a magnifying wall mirror as well as two robes hanging behind the door along with bright and fluffy towels that smelled the freshness.
Facilities, Services and Outdoor Pool
During the stay, I found no reason to leave the hotel premises. Whatever I wished for, I had it here; a fabulous suite, expert service, fantastic cuisine, a homely feeling with friends around, an indoor and outdoor pool, access to the Wellness Spa facilities, the Executive Lounge. I could enjoy the relaxing ambience over a cup of coffee or a cocktail by the Paddock bar with its classic elegance and character with live piano music as you already saw above through the Instagram video post. Although this time, I did not get to the outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, I know from previous stays that both are splendid and add to the peaceful scene of the garden. What more could one ask for!
I find the team courteous and efficient, working under the assumption that there is no matter too small to attend to if it will make your stay just that much better. You will arrive immediately feeling like family, and you leave feeling like nothing short of royalty.
The Landmark Wellness Spa
My Spa appointment was arranged much earlier than my trip to Cyprus as I received an email requesting me to indicate the preferable time and date of my treatments. I showed up to the Wellness Spa earlier the second day, an hour after breakfast to enjoy the facilities as much as I could that day. Usually, during weekends, there are fewer people, so I was expecting to have more fun and privacy, and I did not go wrong. Residents of the Landmark Hotel have free access to the spa facilities; sauna, steam room, the Jacuzzi, gym and indoor pool. I spent about two hours in the morning between the steam room, the Jacuzzi and the indoor pool. Although small, the Jacuzzi jets made me feel greatly carefree out there just as I was hoping. I had it all to myself that morning! Before leaving the spa, I met Elena and assured of the appointment, in fact, we arranged to have it half an hour earlier, which suite ideally.
The beauty treatment menu includes relaxation massages, facials & body treatments, manicure-pedicure and men’s and ladies waxing. We had arranged to have the back massage first, followed by the facial. I was delighted to hear that the products used this year was coming from the French Darphin brand; my top favourite one! The choice this time was the 60-minute Hydrating Facial which my friend and therapist through the years, Elena, executed perfectly. She arranged that I am in a comfortable position on the spa-bed before proceeding and started off with the exfoliation and cleansing of my face, neck and décolleté area and carefully applied the liquid face mask and left the room for 20 minutes, while I remained listening to soothing music. The specific covering mask helped the penetration of actives by promoting intense skin hydration by leaving the face glowing, firmed and invigorated.
Visiting the Landmark Hotel Nicosia Zac Hair Salon
My appointment to Zac Hair Designers Beauty Salon was again arranged a month before coming to the Landmark Nicosia Hotel. This actually was my third visit since by now, I totally trust the capable and qualified skills of the team just as the quality products used. This time I was here to have my hair coloured, trimmed and have a coiffure hairdo.
This beautiful hair salon is located opposite the lifts of the executive wing. I arrived promptly, and this time I requested to have Andy colour and trim my hair while another lady under Andy’s guidance was appointed for the coiffure hairdo. Fast and beautiful, Andy showed that he is a professional. The people behind are qualified professionals and will do their best to deliver a complete hair and beauty experience from a hair-cut, styling to waxing and more. Whether you need a trim, a colour refresh or a dramatic makeover, a visit here will leave you feeling marvellous and turning heads!
Executive Lounge of the Landmark Hotel Nicosia
Residents of the executive rooms and suites can benefit from this specially designed area, where they can enjoy complimentary breakfast, tea, coffee, cakes, canapés, but also alcoholic drinks & cocktails and a selection of seasonal fruits. Newspapers and Internet access are also available. My suite had access to two different breakfast locations -the Executive Lounge and the Fontana Landmark Restaurant. I had mine at the latter once again, taking advantage of the a la carte menu, having the omelette of my own choice, and not only!
Gastronomy Options – Landmark Nicosia Hotel
Classy and chic with a pleasant and cosy atmosphere, the buffet here has it all. Guests have the choice of a wide selection of hot & cold buffet which includes bacon, scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, sausages, cheese, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes and more. A variety of bread, jam spreads and preserves are also available. Beverages include tea, coffee and fruit juice. Healthy options are also plentiful, with salad, tomatoes, peppers, a range of fresh juices and fruit. The team has a personal way of approaching their guests. Cooks and chefs are on hand early in the morning going around welcoming repeaters and guests and check if anything is missing.
Dining Experience
The Landmark Nicosia Restaurants offer some of the most excellent dining choices in Nicosia; thus, you do not have to look too far for a great meal. The Fontana Restaurant serves delectable Mediterranean dishes throughout the day if interested, not to mention the rich selection of wines!
The Salmon Tartar was refreshing, exquisite in taste and nicely presented!
Out of the main course, the Lobster the first evening exceeded my expectations and was executed by the Sous Chef Stelios Michailides. Uniquely mild in flavour and rich in texture, was out of this world and was the dish that made the difference.

Need to say that I did not have the opportunity to dine at the seasonal Pergola Grill Bar this time, as it was closed; however, you could check the dining experience from the previous visit.
The Verdict
You cannot go past this fantastic hotel if you are looking for the very best accommodation in Nicosia. The Landmark Nicosia Hotel is ideal for business trips, a relaxing getaway, corporate tours, conference meetings as well as events. The team and staff are genuinely lovely, kind and considerate. A huge thanks to the entire team who made my stay an absolute pleasure!
